Live365 takes pride in being able to be configured on multiple platforms. There are a number of 3rd-party applications that you can use in conjunction with Live365. LiveWebDJ is a online scheduling and automation web-based application. LiveWebDJ is a great alternative for broadcasting playlists with the option to insert live drops on your Live365 stream.

Tip: You may have access to 1 or more Live365 stations. See our Dashboard Navigation article to learn more about selecting the station which you want to work with. Once on that Station's Overview page, you can then follow along.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to configure Live Web DJ to work with Live365

  1. Go to LiveWebDJ and register for an account.
  2. Open your Live365 Dashboard (Login Required).
  3. Select Streaming from the left column Station Menu. Locate the LiveDJ area as shown below:
Leave this window open in your browser. You will need to input this information into LiveWebDJ. For accuracy, it is recommended that you copy (ctrl c) and paste (ctrl p) these settings directly into the encoder.
  4. Login to your LiveWebDJ.com account & click on Settings from the left-hand panel.
  5. Click on Output Encoders and fill out the encoder information as indicated in Step 3 above.
For optimal audio quality and streaming performance, we recommend configuring the AAC or MP3 codec to be close to the bitrate you've selected as output within the Live365 Dashboard.

To adjust your Live365 station’s preferred output format and bitrate simply navigate to StreamingEncoding and then ensure your encoder aligns with those specifications. One requirement is that the sample rate must always be set to 44.1 kHz.

If you are uncertain about what encoding settings to use, please refer to the following blog article for additional information and guidance: Understanding Radio Streaming Formats & Bitrates

There is no Save button. This page Auto-Saves.
  6. Click on Dashboard from the left-hand panel.
  7. Assuming your station is off the air, click on Off The Air to toggle your station to go on the air.  Otherwise, if you're already on the air and simply adding an encoder (or making changes to your existing encoder): Click on On The Air This will toggle your station to go online. By connecting a live stream, you will override any scheduled Events and AutoDJ in Live365 Broadcaster.
  8. Allow your dashboard some time to refresh.

LiveWebDJ can strip out any non-alphabetic characters in MP3 file metadata. In order for the ad triggers to work correctly, the files need to remain unchanged. If you see that your Ad Trigger files are displayed as ADBREAK90000 1 instead of ADBREAK_90000 1, then you'll need to fix the titles of the ad triggers.

Please remember that even when you are broadcasting live, your files must transmit the correct metadata for copyrighted content (Artist - Title). If you are part of the Ad Revenue Share Program , you need to also manually insert our ad trigger files.
