RadioBoss is just one of many 3rd-party Automation/Playout software programs that you can use in conjunction with Live365. With RadioBoss, you can broadcast live to your Live365 stream. RadioBoss offers a free trial, but if you intend to continue using it, you will need to purchase a copy.

First, make sure you are editing the station where you want to make these changes. Highlight and click the station name to select it. If you are unfamiliar with how to navigate this part of Live365, please see this help article which describes dashboard navigation.

Once you have selected the appropriate station, you will be taken to that Station's Menu page. From this page, you will be able to navigate and make changes and adjustments to your station.

Here are step-by-step setup instructions to set up RadioBoss:

Step 1) Download and install a copy of RadioBoss

Step 2) Open your Live365 Broadcaster. (Login Required)

Step 3) Select "Sources -> Live DJ" from the left column Station Menu. Locate the "Encoder Settings" area as shown below:

Please leave the "Encoder Settings" window open as you will need to input this information into the RadioBoss interface. For accuracy, it is recommended that you Copy (ctrl c) and Paste (ctrl p) this information directly into the required fields.

Step 4) Open your copy of RadioBoss. Find the Settings menu at the top of the RadioBoss window, then select "Settings -> Options." (You can also use the shortcut ctrl+shift+o).

Step 5) In the RadioBoss settings window, select “Broadcast” from the menu on the left, then click on the "+" icon on the right side of the Settings window.

Step 6) In the Encoder window, select the “Configuration Wizard” button.

Step 7) Select the Icecast 2 server type, then click the “Next” button.

Step 8) Enter the Setup Instructions from Live365 into the RadioBoss connection window.

Server address = HostName (as listed in the Live365 "Encoder Settings" window)

Port = 8000

Username = source

Password = Password (as listed in the Live365 "Encoder Settings" window)

Mount point = Mount as listed in the "Encoder Settings" window, preceded by forward slash “/”

Then click the “Finish” button.

Step 11) Once you have entered the details, check that the sample rate is 44100, the encoder type is set to MP3 and the bitrate is set to 128 kbps stereo. Then click “OK.”

Step 12) When you are ready to broadcast, ensure that the checkbox beside the encoder is selected and that the “Broadcasting Enabled” checkbox is also selected. This will change your encoder status to “Active” so that you can begin broadcasting live.

Step 13) When you have enabled the encoder, you will know that you are successfully connected when you see the "ON AIR" sign at the top right of the RadioBoss window.

When you enable the live broadcasting, you will immediately start to broadcast live. You will override any scheduled Events and AutoDJ currently playing in the Live365 Broadcaster. Live365 Broadcaster may be used as a fallback, in the event your RadioBoss application crashes or goes offline.

Please remember that even when you are broadcasting live, your files must transmit the correct metadata for copyrighted content (Artist - Title). If you are part of the Ad Revenue Share Program, you need to also manually insert our ad trigger files.
