Our event scheduling system handles time changes by making sure the station doesn't go silent for one hour, and there is no repeated content aired. Here's some information about how your events and Scheduler will behave going into Daylight Saving Time.
The bi-annual time change is well-known to cause side effects on calendar-based software in general, and this includes Live365's Events Scheduler. Most of the United States begins Daylight Saving Time at 02:00 AM on the second Sunday in March. These regions revert to standard time on the first Sunday in November.
When the local standard time is about to reach Sunday 02:00 AM, the clocks are turned forward 1 hour to Sunday 03:00 AM local daylight time.
What can I do to prepare my station for the DST change?
- In order to make sure there are no issues with your Live365 station's programming, we restricted the interval between 02:00 AM and 03:00 AM for scheduling new events.
- We recommend running your station by LiveDJ or AutoDJ mode in this time interval.
- If there is a longer event already scheduled that is passing through the time change, the system will automatically adjust the track list so there is no silence and no repeated tracks during the time change hour.
