Our new Scheduler interface handles time changes a bit differently than our previous software did. Here's some information about how your events and Scheduler will behaving going into Daylight Saving Time.
The bi-annual time change is well-known to cause side effects on calendar-based software in general, and this includes Live365's Events Scheduler. Most of the United States begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 AM on the second Sunday in March. This regions revert to standard time on the first Sunday in November.
This year, when the local standard time is about to reach Sunday, 14 March 2021, 02:00 AM the clocks are turned forward 1 hour to Sunday, 14 March 2021, 03:00 AM local daylight time.
What can I do to prepare my station for the DST change?
Unless it is necessary, we recommend leaving the interval between 12:00 AM 3/14/2021 and 04:00 AM 3/14/2021 empty of scheduled events and to run your station by LiveDJ or AutoDJ mode. In case you choose to schedule events during the time change, please keep in mind the following aspects:
- If an event is scheduled from 12:00 (or 1:00) AM 3/14/2021 to 04:00 AM 3/14/2021, the programmed hour that would usually air between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM will be skipped, and the program will continue with the first file in the track list at 3:00 AM.
- If an event is scheduled from 2:00 AM 3/14/2021 to 04:00 AM 3/14/2021 only the last half of the event will air on the station.
- If an event is scheduled for 1 hour during the time change, it will not air at all.
- Within the "Add Event" interface, if you select: 2:00 AM, 2:15 AM, 2:30 AM, and 2:45 AM as a starting time it will be automatically adjusted to 3:00 AM, 3:15 AM, 3:30 AM, and 3:45 AM.
When DST ends, the scheduled content between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM on 7/11/2021 will repeat.
