You can temporarily disconnect your Live365 station when no event or broadcast is happening. This prevents listeners from connecting or remaining connected to your station and consuming TLH.
Some of the use cases when you may want to disconnect your Live365 station are:
- When you are performing technical maintenance or upgrades to your station and broadcasting equipment.
- When there is no content scheduled to play, for example during your off-peak hours or overnight.
- For cost management when your station is close to reaching the TLH limit for your package and you would like to reduce the TLH usage to remain on the same package.
To temporarily disconnect or reconnect your station, please follow the steps below:
- Login to your Live365 Dashboard and select your station.
- Navigate to Station Settings in the left side menu.
- Select Station Status.
- Use the Disconnect Station or Reconnect Station button to manage your station's status.
Note: The process of reconnecting your station is not instant. It may take a few minutes for your station to resume broadcasting from a disconnected state. You can monitor your station status from the Overview screen, or by previewing your stream through any Live365 player.
