The notification Category Selections??  is displayed when an Entry from the ClockWheel (which is supposed to be airing) is unable to find a valid next track for selection.

This can be caused by two possible scenarios:

  1. Due to DMCA or Separation Rules- A ClockWheel should have enough tracks assigned for each of it's entries for the entire period that you intend to air it, as well as still remaining in compliance with the following DMCA rules:
    1. No more than 3 songs consecutively from the same artist
    2. No more than 2 songs consecutively from the same album
    3. No more than 4 songs from the same artist in a 3 hour period
    4. No more than 3 songs from the same album in a 3 hour period

If you are applying more strict separation rules within Settings -> AutoDJ -> TrackMix, you will need to make sure that your categories have enough tracks to fulfill taking into consideration the rules you select as well. You may also lower the values of the separation rules until you don't see the notification anymore.

  2. Due to a category having tracks with different Media Types - This occurs when a specific category you placed into your ClockWheel has tracks that are from different Media Types. For example, mixed ID, Talk, or Music tracks under the same category tag. In this case, you would want to create a different category (for example "Mixed Media Types ID"), assign the ID file(s) to the new category, and then add it separately to the ClockWheel.

This notification is caused by an intentional limitation is meant to prevent the same Media Type files from accidentally playing back to back within a scheduled event. Using a single Media Type for each category within a ClockWheel gives you, as a broadcaster, full control over what is supposed to be aired and in which order, while preserving a pleasant listening experience for your audience.
